'L'Azienda Agricola Carbona di Di Benedetto Giuseppe'
grew and developed between 1970 and 1980, with the purchase
of a small holding of land and increasing to reach an area of
approx. 35 hectares.
All the land holdings are located in Castelvetrano area and
are inside the region of the Belìce Valley.
The company extends over a flat territory where the good weather
allows the cultivation of the local variety "Nocellara
del Belìce" (recognized D.O.P.) which only in
this environment can express its productive potential.
Throughout the years, due to the quality of the product and
thanks to the co-operation of Mr Di Benedetto, the company volunteered
to partake in new experiences being advocated by the Institute
of Experimental Olive Culture and by the National Research
Centre; in 1995, the company complied with Measure A1
of Reg. CEE 2078/92 (notable reduction of phytopharmaceuticals).
In the whole of the company's territory, approximately 6000
plants or the Nocellara del Belìce variety are
grown, producing table olives and superior extra virgin olive
oil.
In 1998, when the sons and later the grandsons joint the company,
they also started to press olives and to bottle its oil. And
hence following a long and complex process, the brand "Incoronati"
was born.
